AllergAI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ADD Enterprises LLC ("AllergAI," "we," "us") handles information in the AllergAI app. AllergAI is an informational tool, not a medical device.

The short version

• Your food logs, symptom logs, and allergy profile are stored on your device.
• When you scan or look up a food, the photo and/or text you submit is sent to our processing service to identify the food and possible allergens.
• We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data.
• Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details.

Information we process

1. Information stored on your device. Your allergy profile (allergens, goal, the date you acknowledged the in‑app disclaimer), food entries, symptom entries, care plans, and notes are stored locally on your device using Apple's on‑device database. They are not uploaded to us except as part of a feature you actively use (below).

2. Food scans and look‑ups. When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our backend service, which forwards it to our AI provider, Anthropic, to identify foods and flag possible allergens. When you look up a food by name, the text query is sent the same way. This data is used to generate your result and may be retained by our AI provider for a limited period in accordance with its data‑handling policies.

3. Symptom photos. If you attach a photo to a symptom, it is processed the same way to generate an informational impression.

4. Device identifier. To enforce fair‑use limits on AI processing, we send a per‑app device identifier (Apple's identifierForVendor) with each request. It does not identify you personally and resets if you delete the app.

5. Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive subscription status, not payment details.

6. Notifications. If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.

What we do not do

• We do not require names, emails, or accounts.
• We do not sell or rent your information.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not use third‑party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Health information

Some information you enter (allergens, symptoms) may be considered health‑related. We process it solely to provide the app's logging and pattern‑finding features. AllergAI does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.

How information is shared

• Anthropic — AI processing of photos and text.
• Apple — subscriptions and app distribution.
• Legal — if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not otherwise share your information.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your data: deleting the app removes the on‑device data.
• Depending on your region (for example, EEA/UK GDPR or California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us at the address below.

Children

AllergAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transport for data sent for processing. No method is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the app or on this page.
